Breaducation

Answers to commonly asked questions from bread & pastry lovers...

Q. How long do your bread & pastries last?

“How fast can you eat it?”

Maximize Your Bread Experience: (After all, isn’t that what we all really want in life? In bread?!) Unwrap bread and dampen entire crust lightly with water. Place in a preheated 350 degree oven for 5-10 minutes depending on size of loaf or slice. For our pastries, place on a cookie sheet and place in a preheated 300 degree oven for 5-7 minutes.

In the Unlikely Event that You Have Leftovers...

To Store: After the day of purchase, our loaves will keep well in its bag in a cool, dry place for two to three days. And of course, there is always toast! Our baguettes are best stored in a plastic bag for up to two days. (Do not refrigerate – refrigeration dries bread out.) Our pastries are best stored overnight in a plastic bag.

To Freeze: Loaves or slices should be wrapped tightly in foil and placed in an airtight plastic bag. Pastries can be wrapped in foil and placed in a freezer bag for up to two months.

Best Defrost: Thaw our bread in foil and plastic bag (to keep natural moisture in) at room temperature. Dampen crust and bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Let our pastries thaw overnight and follow our “refresh” instructions above.

2nd Best (Faster) Defrost: In a preheated 350 degree oven, remove bread from plastic bag and bake in foil for 15 to 30 minutes, depending on size.

And never microwave your bread!!
(It is just wrong—unless you enjoy rubbery bread or pastries!)
